This book is a quick (not very long) reference for techniques that have come to be recognized as essentials in good service to customers, clients, partners and beyond business, anyone we encounter. By being observant, which is a good conversational quality to practice, we can understand how the other person is going to receive our message. Then, pattern the message to the best delivery and potentially the best reception. Sometimes that delivery is a great deal of ‘Less is More’…including this review.
The author freely admits that he developed his ‘story’ after reading another book about building rapport with people with the intention of delivering good service. That book stresses that our life encounters are ‘Not all about YOU!” Make everything about the other guy.
The author does offer up scenario suggestions for various fields of application…audiences, customers, and more. Short formatting helps because sometimes a reader just needs to do some reality checking on how to best work with someone else.
Author Ben Evans has written several other business books along with a book about beating addiction. All are available on Amazon. I read this book using my Kindle Unlimited — a nice way to check out a book without having to commit.
